Pests We Treat - Ants Discovered During Home Protection Plan Inspection

With our home protection plans, Cowleys offers periodic inspections and preventative treatments throughout the year. Often, we catch pest infestations in their early stages where they are much easier to treat. This heads off more entrenched and troublesome infestations down the road. We often find infestations that the homeowner wasn’t even aware of. Recently, I was sent to a home in Shrewsbury, NJ to perform the summer inspection and treatment. During my inspection of the home’s exterior perimeter, I observed ants trailing from under the front porch. I treated the ant-infested area and the pheromone trail formed by the foraging ants. It’s always a great feeling to resolve a pest infestation outside of the home before they manage to find their way inside. Once ants start foraging inside homes, often setting up satellite colonies and contaminating kitchen counters and food, ant infestations change from a minor nuisance into a major headache.
