All Because of This
The reasons why the kitchen had such a high infestation of fruit flies was due to the number of sanitation issues throughout the area. The floor drains were dirty and filled with a bunch of debris, a number of the trash cans still had garbage in it from the previous night...
Needs to Be Cleaned
....and underneath the kitchen equipment was a buildup of dirt and grease. We showed the owner all of these sanitation issues and informed them that to get rid of the fruit flies, and prevent other pest infestations, all of these dirty areas must be cleaned and kept clean. He agreed and started to address these issues.
Now We Treat
As they were cleaning we applied a liquid application in all the floor drains and then scrubbed them out with our heavy-duty scrubbing brush. Next, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in all the drains.
Once That's Gone
The organic material in the drains is the breeding ground for the fruit flies and once that is gone, so will the fruit flies.
A Few More Treatments
Afterward, we treated the high infestation areas with a fly bait to control the adult fruit flies and installed several fruit fly traps. The attractant in the traps draws the fruit flies close and the bait inside the traps exterminates them within moments of contact. In a short amount of time, the fruit flies will be gone for good.
