Pests We Treat Photo Album: Forgotten Food & Poor Sanitation Causes Fruit Fly Infestation in Allenhurst, NJ
This restaurant in Allenhurst, NJ has a serious fruit fly infestation.
Garage & Old Rags
As you can see, all of this clutter contributed to the fruit fly infestation. There was a buildup of old, dirty rags and spoiled food underneath several pieces of kitchen equipment.
Food Left Out
Not only that but there were dirty dishes left out and inside the sink, old food and other discarded items left all over the equipment, and several buckets loaded with dirty water and trash.
Made Management Aware
We brought these issues to the owner's attention and, after mentioning these sanitation issues, she and her staff immediately started cleaning the problem areas from top to bottom.
Our Turn to Treat
First, we applied a liquid application in all the floor drains and then scrubbed them out with our heavy-duty scrubbing brush. Next, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in all the drains.
Fruit Flies Will Be Gone
Next, we treated the high infestation areas with a fly bait to control the adult fruit flies and installed several fruit fly traps. The attractant in the traps draws the fruit flies close and the bait inside the traps exterminates them within moments of contact. In a short amount of time, the fruit flies will be gone for good.
