Not the Best Sanitation
There were a number of sanitation issues we found throughout the restaurant. A number of the floor drains were overflowing with food and grease, there was a lot of dirt and debris underneath the kitchen equipment...
Loaded with Dirty Dishes
...and the sink area was backed up with a bunch of dirty dishes from the previous night. We showed the owner these sanitation issues and told him that if not corrected immediately, he will continue to have issues with fruit flies and potentially other pests.
Treating the Fruit Flies
We were very happy that the owner began addressing these issues. As far as our treatment, we applied a liquid application in all the floor drains and then scrubbed them out with our heavy-duty scrubbing brush. This will eliminate the bad bacteria that the fruit flies breed in. After that, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in all the drains.
Immediate Elimination
Next, we treated the infestation areas with a fly bait to control the adult fruit flies and installed several fruit fly traps. The attractant in the traps draws the fruit flies close and the bait inside the traps exterminates them within moments of contact. In a short amount of time, the fruit flies will be gone for good.
