Why So Many
The owner was curious on why he had so many fruit flies in his restaurant. Minutes into our inspection, we knew the reason. There were a number of sanitation issues.
Floor Drains Clogged
A number of the floor drains were clogged with food debris and grease, there were dirty dishes left in the sink...
Mold Too
... and there was even mold growing in a number of the trash cans! We showed the owner every one of these issues and told him that these were the reasons as to why he had fruit flies! Thankfully, the owner and his staff immediately started cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom.
As For Our Treatment
Once they had finished, we applied a liquid application in all the floor drains and then scrubbed them out with our heavy-duty scrubbing brush. Next, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in all the drains.
Next Couple Steps
Next, we treated the infestation areas with a fly bait to control the adult fruit flies and installed several fruit fly traps. The attractant in the traps draws the fruit flies close and the bait inside the traps exterminates them within moments of contact. In a short amount of time, the fruit flies will be gone for good.
