Pests We Treat Photo Album: Swarm of Termites by the Back Door in South River, NJ
We recently treated a home in South River, NJ for termites.
Found by the Back Door
The termite activity was observed by the back door, so that's where we started our treatment! Since subterranean termites live beneath ground level, with the owners' permission, we drilled into the concrete around the home and the wooden deck boards.
Properly Spaced Apart
We made sure to space the drill holes at least 18 to 20 inches apart. That way, the treatment we're about to inject has enough room to spread out. Next, we injected a liquid termiticide into each one of the drill holes as well as around the entire exterior of the home. This application binds to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that is undetectable to the termites.
Spread it Throughout Their Colony
The termites will continue to go about their business and come in contact with the termiticide. They will then bring it back to their nest and transfer the treatment throughout their colony.
Plug Up the Drill Holes
Lastly, we filled in all the drill holes. In short amount of time, the termites will be exterminated and the home will be fully protected from termites for many years.
