Pests We Treat Photo Album: Treating for Drain Flies in Freehold, NJ

I began inspecting the dining room and noticed a bunch of flies hovering around the soda dispenser.

Upon closer inspection, I identified them as drain flies. After identifying the pest, I continued my inspection.

I decided to inspect the floor drains since drain flies primarily harbor in those locations. Sure enough, I found several dirty drains filled with gunk and drain flies.

Drain fly infestations can be avoided as long as all the floor drains and sinks are cleaned on a regular basis. After bringing this to the attention of the manager-on-duty, I began the treatment process.

After removing all the gunk out of every drain in the kitchen and dining room and scrubbing them out, I treated them with a liquid product that removes the bad bacteria, which is the breeding ground for the drain flies.

Lastly, I treated the floor drains with a bio-foam solution that eliminates all fly-attracting odors.
