Upon inspection, I found a large trail of pavement ants trailing underneath front step. I continued inspecting and noticed that the front yard was covered in ant hills.
With the owners permission, I inspected the inside of the home and found no signs of an ant infestation.
I treated the perimeter of the porch, the backyard, front yard and the front steps with a granular bait. I also used a dusting application to treat underneath the steps and treated the remainder of the exterior with a non-repellant residual.
Once the ants come in contact with any of these products, they'll bring them back to their nest and share them with one another. These treatments then rapidly spread throughout their colony, and in a short amount of time, the pavement ants are eliminated.
I was sent out on a service call for a new Home Protection Plan customer in Bayville, NJ who saw ants along her front porch.
