Beginning our inspection, we found multiple pigeon droppings across the entire roof.
Pigeons harbor dozens of different parasites and infectious diseases and can indirectly spread disease through their droppings. The spores from the drying feces can enter the vents and air ducts of your home and settle on the food or water. This can result in food poisoning due to salmonella infection.
To solve the pigeon problem, we sanitized the entire roof and then installed a shock track. A shock track is a low-profile ledge deterrent system that is effective against not just pigeons, but all species of nuisance birds.
When a pigeon lands on the shock track, a 6-8 volt jolt is emitted that doesn't harm the pigeons at all but utilizes the principle of fear and flight, conditioning birds to stay away.
The shock track gets affixed to roof, with no screws, and is connected to a solar-powered charger. Now the home is guarded against annoying pigeons.
Pigeons were roosting on this beautiful house in Surf City, NJ. Fortunately, the homeowner called Cowleys and we were sent out to take care of the issue.
