We inspected the shed and found it loaded with rat feces and nesting debris.
Rat Burrows Surrounding the Shed
We inspected the exterior of the shed and found a bunch of rat burrows surrounding it. Rats create these burrows to travel from their nest to a food source and to escape predators.
Holes in the Shed
We took a closer look at the shed and found several gaps and cracks in the door frame and in other areas throughout the shed. We showed the owner and he mentioned that he'll repair those openings once the mice are gone.
Setting Up Bait Stations
We set up several rodent bait stations inside the shed and near each of the burrows. After that was done we installed several snap traps that are inside temper-proof, child resistant boxes near them. Once we were done we scheduled a number of returns visits to monitor the rat infestation and replenish the bait inside the bait stations as needed.
