Pests We Treat Photo Album: Rats Chewing Into the Garage in Monroe Township, NJ
Chewed Right Here
Here's where the rats were chewing to enter the garage. There was also a wide gap underneath the garage door that mice could use to infest the home.
First the Xcluder® Door Sweep
First, we installed an Xcluder® Rodent Proof Door Sweep underneath the entire length of the garage door. Xcluder® door sweeps feature Xcluder fill fabric, providing a barrier impenetrable to rodents and other pests, along with a durable weather seal that can pay for itself in energy savings.
Cover The Side
We then installed custom made sturdy metal flashing to cover the side weather stripping to prevent the rats from chewing into the area.
One Last Thing to Do
Finally, we installed several rodent bait stations throughout the garage and around the exterior of the home. We will return for a number of follow up visits to keep an eye on the infestation and, if needed, replenish the rodent bait stations.
