Pests We Treat Photo Album: Rats Take Control of Goat Enclosure in Colts Neck, NJ
We were sent out to a home in Colts Neck, NJ to handle a rat infestation.
Goat Enclosure
All around the goat closure, was a massive amount of rat burrows and their droppings.
The Chicken Coop Too
We also found more rat burrows around the chicken coop too. Turns out, they were feasting on all the food that was left out! Rats create burrows to travel from their nest to a food source and to escape predators. Their burrows usually contain a main entrance and 1 or 2 exit holes away from the main entrance.
Ready-to-Use Bait Stations Installed
We installed several Ready-to-Use rodent bait stations near each of the burrows, around the chicken coop, the goat enclosure, and (at the owner's request) in several areas around the exterior of the home. Next, we installed several snap traps that are inside temper-proof, child resistant boxes near the burrows.
Come Back Till Their Gone
Once we were all done with that we then scheduled several follow-up visits to monitor the rat infestation, apply any additional treatments, and replenish the bait stations as needed. We also advised that the owner store all of the food for the animals in sturdy containers to prevent any future pest infestations.
