Lots of Conducive Conditions
Throughout the kitchen, were a number of sanitation issues. The floor drains were clogged with food debris, there was a build up of liquids underneath some of the kitchen equipment...
Open Bottles
...and there was open bottles of beer and other sugary liquids scattered across the trash room. After showing these issues with the owner, we applied a liquid product to every single floor drain throughout the kitchen, sink area, and the trash room. This application is going to eliminate the bad bacteria inside the drains that the fruit flies breed in. Once that has been eliminated, so will the fruit flies. After that we scrubbed out each one of the floor drains with our heavy-duty scrubbing brush.
Bio-Foam Solution & Fly Traps
Next, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes all of the organic build-up, odors, and scum in the drains. We then treated the severe problem areas with a fly bait to exterminate the adult fruit flies and then set up several pheromone fruit fly traps.
Draws Them In
The attractant in the traps will going to draw the fruit flies close and the bait inside the traps will neutralize them within moments of contact. Once we had finished, we then scheduled several return visits to apply any additional treatments until the fruit flies are no longer present in the restaurant.
