As we were inspecting the home, we discovered that these wood-destroying pests were infesting the garage door jambs.

Why They're So Bad

Carpenter ants are wood-destroying insects and can build their nest inside a home, seeking out water-damaged, decaying wood that they can easily excavate. In doing so, they can seriously damage the structure of the home.

Flushing Out the Carpenter Ants

First, we treated the door jambs on the interior and exterior of the area with a knockdown flushing application. This treatment is going to quickly exterminate the carpenter ants.

Next Few Treatments

Next, we applied a liquid non-repellent residual around the area and the entire exterior of the property. Lastly, we applied a granular bait throughout the landscape. The worker carpenter ants will go back to their nest to share the applications with the other ants and their queen. By spreading the treatments throughout their colony, the carpenter ants will be eliminated in a short amount of time.
