Mice in the Attic Cause a Mess in Woodbridge, NJ
Challenge
A new customer in Woodbridge, NJ called our office after hearing some "scratching noises" in her attic - so we were sent out to inspect and treat. As we began investigating the attic, we found multiple mice tunnels throughout the fiberglass insulation. Looks like the homeowner has a mice problem! We also discovered several wires that had chew marks on them. Mice chewing on attic wiring is a severe, high-risk fire hazard. Rodents gnaw through wire insulation to manage their continuously growing teeth, leaving bare, energized wires that can spark, arc, and ignite insulation or wood.
Solution
We installed several rodent bait stations throughout the attic and along the exterior of the home. Once we had finished we scheduled several follow up visits to replenish the bait in the rodent bait stations and to monitor the mice activity. Once all the mice are gone our Attic Systems to will come out, remove all of the contaminated insulation, and install new blown-in cellulose insulation.
