Bed Bugs Travel From the Couch to the Bathroom in West Long Branch, NJ
Challenge
After finding multiple bite marks all over her body, this elderly homeowner in West Long Branch, NJ called our office for help and we were sent out. When we arrived, she informed us that she found a "small brown pest" in her bathroom. When we inspected, we identified it as a bed bug. Not only that, but we found them throughout the bathroom, especially underneath the bath mat.
Continuing our inspection, we found a ton more bed bugs underneath the couch in the living room. Turns out that the bed bugs were originally harboring in the couch and the customer actually transported these blood-sucking pests to the bathroom!
Solution
We vacuumed up every single bed bug and their eggs throughout the bathroom and the couch. After that, we applied a bio-pesticide application to every single harborage area throughout the bathroom and the couch. This product creates an effective barrier that infects and exterminates the bed bugs almost instantly. Next, we treated the outlets throughout the home with residual dusting product.
This targets bed bugs of all life stages, sex, and feeding status, and neutralizes them. Lastly, we scheduled a number of follow-up inspections to monitor the bed bug activity and, if needed, apply any additional treatments.
