Squirrels Damage Multiple Soffits in Peapack, NJ

This customer in Peapack, NJ was suffering from a major squirrel infestation in their home. Almost every one of the soffit returns were damaged by squirrels who were utilizing them to infest the property. In order to safely remove them, we installed a one-way device over each one of the soffit returns, temporarily enclosed them with hardware cloth, and then set up several baited devices. A one-way device is a device that allows the squirrels to safely exit an area but prevent them from getting back in.

After a short period of time, we had successfully retrieved all of the squirrels and took them to a new, humane location. Before doing that, we disinfected the infested areas, installed sturdy metal flashing over each one of the soffit returns to prevent reinfestation, and then painted them brown to make the color of the home.
