Exactly, What is a Builder's Gap?
A "builder's gap" is a gap between the fascia board and roof decking. It's caused when roof decking is stopped too short and isn't flush with the fascia. It's meant to help with airflow to the attic, but is an open door for nuisance wildlife and pests to enter your home and cause some serious damages.
Exclude the Builder's Gap
After retrieving the raccoon and relocating it, we disinfected the attic and installed sturdy metal flashing over the entire length of the builder's gap to prevent any future infestations from raccoons (or any other nuisance wildlife).
Closed Off
Now the area is properly excluded from all nuisance wildlife!
