Due to the beaver's dam, the water was overflowing onto the highway.
A Beautiful Sight
A river flowed into this pond...
Causing a Headache
...and the beaver's dammed the river up, causing the water to overflow onto the owner's property as well as onto the highway, causing a safety issue for the drivers.
Gnawing on the Tree
You can see that this tree was getting gnawed on by the beavers.
A Beaver's Dam
This was just one of the many beaver dams we found. A beaver dam is built out of twigs, sticks, rocks, and mud, and has an underwater entrance.
Remove the Lodge's & All the Debris
After following all of NJ Fish & Wildlife guidelines, we began to remove all of the debris.
Back to Normal
Now the pond and river are no longer dammed up - which means the water can properly recede to its original location and the highway and the property will no longer be flooded.
