Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Squirrel Activity Through the Pork Chop in Marlboro, NJ
This squirrel was entering this condo in Marlboro, NJ via the pork chop.
Right Through Here
As you can tell, this is where the squirrel was getting in. The term "pork chop" refers to the triangular piece of trim that covers the void where the angled roof meets the flat soffit on the end of a building.
The Set Up
We installed a one-way device over the pork chop, temporarily enclosed the area off with hardware cloth, and set up a number of baited devices. A one-way device will allow the squirrel to leave the area safely, but prevent it from getting back in.
A Short Time Later
A short while later, we successfully retrieved the squirrel and took it to new humane location. We then disinfected the area it was residing it and then installed sturdy metal flashing over the pork chop.
No More Squirrel Problems
This will prevent any future issues with squirrels, and other nuisance wildlife, from getting into the property through this area.
