Power Lines in the Way
Squirrels were infesting the home via the pork chop. As you can see, there are power lines in the way. There are two options - one is to contact the power company to come out and reenergize the power lines. Fortunately in this case, it's not needed.
Our Plan
So what we're going to do is close off the pork chop with sturdy with sturdy metal flashing. Then, with the owner's permission...
A New Opening
...is drill a new opening into the soffit area for the squirrels to use.
Set Up for Squirrel Retrieval
We then installed a retrieval device over the new opening, temporarily enclose the area off with hardware cloth, and set up a number of baited devices. Once we safely retrieve the squirrel, we will take it to a new humane location and then install sturdy metal flashing over the opening that we made and securely fasten to the area.
