Wildlife Removal - Toxic mess from rodents in Navesink, New Jersey
The owner was under the impression that the recently trapped squirrels had been living up there. When I inspected it, it turned out that the squirrels were only part of the problem - and it was much, much more. The area was a laboratory of virtually every nuisance wildlife fecal dropping. There was not only squirrel droppings, there were also droppings from raccoons, mice, rats, and opossums. Wildlife technicians are able to identify the type of wildlife based on animal tracks and the shape of the droppings - and this was a textbook example of everything in one place! According to the owner, things got so bad because this area of the barn was virtually ignored for about two years. There is no other way to say it - the area was a dangerous toxic mess of droppings and posed a significant health hazard. When wildlife droppings dry, its spores are released in the air, and in an enclosed space, when breathed in, can cause a variety of chronic respiratory infections.
