Pests We Treat Photo Album: All the Ways the Mice Got In in Adelphia, NJ
There were mice in the attic of this home in Adlephia, NJ and here's how they got in.
Mice Droppings in the Attic
As we inspected the attic, we found a lot of mice droppings all over the place. Continuing our inspection we noticed that the gable vent screen had chew marks on it and there was mice droppings in it.
Right Over Here
While inspecting the area, we found out how the mice got into the attic - through a small opening around a cable wire. This hole may look too small for mice to enter, but due to their collapsible ribs, mice can squeeze through an opening the width of a pencil.
On the Outside Too
We also found another gap around a utility pipe on the exterior of the home. We installed several rodent bait stations throughout the attic and along the exterior of the home.
Sealed Up the Gaps
We then stuffed both of the access points for the mice with chew proof metal mesh. Afterward we sealed them off with a waterproof premium adhesive. Once we finished, we scheduled several follow up visits to replenish the bait in the rodent bait stations and monitor the activity until the mice are no longer infesting the home.
