Lots of Cockroaches
The kitchen was infested with cockroaches...
Drain Flies Too
...and drain flies! The reason? The sanitation throughout the restaurant was bad. Floor drains were clogged, sinks were over flowing with dirty dishes and liquids, and there was a buildup of grease behind and underneath the equipment.
First: The Cockroaches
Once the owner removed all items and discarded the contaminated food products, we applied a residual application that is combined with an EPA registered insect growth regulator throughout the kitchen and other harborage areas. This is going to affect the cockroaches' reproductive system and prevent them from reaching adulthood. Next, we applied a knockdown aerosol product to every single crack, crevice, appliance, and baseboard throughout the kitchen. This product flushes the cockroaches out of hiding, into the growth regulator, and rapidly neutralizes them.
Now for the Drain Flies
We then shifted our attention to the drain flies and treated all of the floor drains and sinks with a liquid application. This product is going to eliminate the bad bacteria inside the drains - which is what the drain flies breed in. Once that's eliminated, so will the drain flies.
Last Few Treatments
After that, we applied a bio-foam solution in all of the floor drains. This is going to remove all of the organic build-up, odors, and scum inside the drains as well as eliminate the drain flies and their larvae. After all that was done, we installed a number monitoring devices and scheduled several return visits to keep an eye on the drain fly & cockroach infestations and, if necessary, apply some additional treatments.
