Found a Lot of Bed Bugs Under the Bed in Fair Haven, NJ
Challenge
This customer in Fair Haven, NJ had slight suspicion that she might have bed bugs in her mattress, but needed an expert opinion. So she called Cowleys and we were sent out. As we inspected the area, we found a ton of bed bugs underneath the bed frame, throughout the mattress, and in the crevices of the headboard. Bed bugs love to harbor in tight crevices of beds, couches, and other areas where they feel pressure on both sides of their body. They can also be found in other areas, like a rug or a suitcase, where they have close access to a blood meal.
Solution
For treatment, the first step was to vacuum up all the live bed bugs and their eggs. Next, we treated every single crevice of the mattress, headboard, and bed frame with a fungicide application. The fungicide application is going to create a barrier that will infect and neutralize the bed bugs quickly. Afterward, we treated every single outlet throughout the bedroom, and the hallway, with a residual dusting product. This will target bed bugs of all life stages, sex, and feeding status and exterminate them within a short amount of time.
The last thing we did was schedule a number of follow-up inspections to monitor the infestation and apply any additional treatments if necessary.
