Tamara Mooney
Cowleys Pest Services
Tamara is an integral part of the leadership team at Cowleys Pest Services, where she serves as Office Manager & Human Resources Manager. Since joining Cowleys in November 2018 as an Appointment Center Representative, she has grown through the organization by leading with consistency, accountability, and a strong focus on both people and process.
In her role, Tamara oversees daily operations, customer experience, team development, and workflow efficiency across multiple departments. She is passionate about building strong systems, improving communication, and developing teams in a way that supports both employee success and exceptional client service. Known for her ability to bring people together, she encourages her team to look beyond the surface, avoid assumptions, and focus on understanding the full picture before responding.
For Tamara, great customer service is simple in theory but powerful in execution — truly listening to the client, anticipating their needs, and ensuring they leave the conversation feeling confident, understood, and never overwhelmed. She believes every interaction should end with clarity, comfort, and trust.
Tamara brings a naturally positive and direct leadership style to Cowleys, always looking for the silver lining while motivating those around her to do their best work. Colleagues often say she keeps the office grounded, focused, and well-fed — she is known for her love of baking and firmly believes the way to a good day (and a good team) is a great cookie. Her personal motto is simple: always choose dessert first — life is too short.
Outside of work, Tamara is always in pursuit of new experiences. She travels often and makes it a goal to visit at least one new country each year, a passion that has also led to her work as a travel agent outside of Cowleys. She enjoys discovering new coffee shops, considers herself a bit of a coffee snob, and values time spent exploring new places and cultures. At home, she is lovingly managed by Luna, the office “mascot” and sassy pom-shi who reigns as the princess of the household.
Tamara is often described as positive, motivating, and direct — someone who leads with both standards and heart. Above all, she believes strong leadership is rooted in connection, honesty, and creating an environment where both people and businesses can thrive together.
