Watch Out for Bird Mites
After carefully removing all of the nesting debris, we then disinfected the harborage area with a solution that eliminates bird mites. What are bird mites? Tiny, semi-transparent parasites that feast on the blood of birds. Once the birds have left their nest or if the nest is disturbed, these blood-sucking pests will infest structures and begin to feast on the family inside! They are one of the main reasons why extreme care is needed when removing bird nests.
