Squirrels Hiding Out in the Chimney in Lanoka Harbor, NJ
This customer in Lanoka Harbor, NJ had squirrels harboring in his chimney. How did he know? He spotted one roaming around his fireplace! Fortunately, it didn't get inside his home. He contacted Little Rascals for help and we were sent out.
Since the squirrels were getting in via the chimney, we set up a one-way device over the top of it and temporarily enclosed the area off with hardware cloth. We then installed several baited devices nearby. The one-way device will allow the squirrels to leave the chimney safely while also preventing them from getting back in. A short while after setting up our devices, we successfully retrieved all of the squirrels and took them to a safer location.
To prevent any future nuisance wildlife or even bird infestations, we installed a chimney cap. This heavy-duty material is constructed out of 24 Gauge Top and Flange, and 18 Gauge Galvanized Mesh and is designed to prevent access to the chimney from all nuisance wildlife, bats, and birds.
Nuisance Birds Getting Into the Vents at this Home in Farmingdale, NJ
This homeowner in Farmingdale, NJ kept hearing chirping noises in his home and knew he had birds roosting somewhere, so he contacted Bird Solutions for help and we were sent out. As we inspected the exterior of the property, we identified how the birds were getting into the home, right through one of the exhaust vents! Due to the damage, it was wide open, so the birds made their way inside.
After setting up our retrieval devices, we successfully and safely removed all of the nuisance birds out of the home. We then removed the nesting debris and then disinfected the area with a solution that targets bird mites. Bird mites are parasites that feed on the blood of birds. When birds leave their nests, the mites are left behind without a suitable host for their next blood meal and make their way into a home.
Lastly, to prevent any future nuisance bird intrusions, we installed a Defender over the dryer vent. The Defender is the perfect choice to help keep out nuisance birds. While allowing free-flowing air movement, its patented design effectively blocks intrusion by using a system of bars instead of a screen under the hood.
Turkey Vultures Getting a Shocking Surprise in Manalapan, NJ
This customer in Manalapan, NJ had a big problem. Turkey vultures were roosting on his roof and defecating all over it. This posed not only a health hazard to the family, but also was severely damaging the roof!
In order to safely and effectively keep the turkey vultures off the roof, we installed Shock Track. Shock Track is a unique electrically charged track that imparts a mild electrical shock when the turkey vultures land on them. The shock will not harm them but will condition them to avoid the area. The shock track gets affixed to roof, with no screws, and is connected to a solar-powered charger. Now the turkey vultures are properly excluded from the roof.

Hole in the Peak Allows Starlings to Infest Home in South Brunswick, NJ
This customer in South Brunswick, NJ had an infestation of starlings in her attic and wanted Birds Solutions by Cowleys to safely remove them. As we inspected the exterior of her home, we immediately located the access point - a giant opening below the soffit on the right side of the home! This was how the starlings were able to gain access into the attic.
The first thing we did was carefully remove all of the nesting debris out of the attic. Once we finished with that, we then disinfected the entire attic with a application that targets and exterminates bird mites. Bird mites are parasites that feed on the blood of birds and are one of the main reasons why extreme care is needed when removing a birds nest.
Lastly, in order to successfully exclude the starlings, as well as all nuisance birds, from the home, we installed Pest-Blok over the giant opening. Pest-Blok doesn't restrict the airflow to the attic, undergoes a silicone-protected polyester coating process that makes it last longer, and guards the home against nuisance birds, bats, and all nuisance wildlife.
