David Clark, a Brick Township resident, joined us in September 2019 as one of our busy Appointment Center Representatives. Dave brings the highest personal standards to Cowleys, and is a welcomed addition to our team.
To both our current and potential customers, our representatives are often the all-important initial contact with Cowleys that sets the tone for the rest of our customer interactions. Before one of our field technicians shows up at their doorstep, our representatives determine the customer issue that needs to be resolved and review the various services offered by Cowleys. Our representatives also schedule appointments as quickly as possible in a dynamic ever-changing environment in order to provide the best possible service.
Dave joined us with an extensive background in customer service in pest control. However, he wanted to work with a more tight-knit family-oriented business where the contribution of every employee truly mattered. With his background, Dave hit the ground running and was able to jump right into the thick of things. Lucky for us, however, is that Dave already a seasoned “pro” with dealing with customers, and understands scheduling and logistics. He’s already been invaluable in ensuring that our daily operations run smoothly.
Dave is one of the friendliest, most personable individuals you can hope to meet, either in person or on the phone. He genuinely enjoys helping customers and going the extra mile to make sure that their problems are resolved. He likes to stay busy and work hard, which are two attributes we love to have. Dave likes keeping things “light” and has a great trait of staying cool under pressure. It makes all the difference when we are trying to juggle a dozen things at once.
When not at work, Dave likes to stay active and take advantage of all of that the Jersey Shore has to offer. Weather permitting, he enjoys playing golf and softball. Dave also enjoys singing, but admits that he still needs some work fine-tuning his “pipes” before auditioning for Blake Shelton or Kelly Clarkson on “The Voice!”

A new client in Toms River, NJ frantically called our office after finding a rat in her basement. So we were sent out to inspect and treat. During our inspection, we noticed a rather large gap where the water line was entering the structure through the foundation wall. As we took a closer look, we found several rat droppings right below it.
First, we carefully cleaned up the rodent droppings and installed several rodent bait stations throughout the basement and along the exterior of the home. Next, we stuffed the opening with chew-proof stainless steel mesh, which rodents hate chewing through. Afterward, we sealed the opening with a waterproof, premium adhesive. Lastly, we scheduled several follow-up visits to replenish the bait in the stations and monitor the rat activity.
