Bird Control Services Photo Album: Multiple Broken Exhaust Vents Causes a Starling Infestation in Princeton Junction, NJ
The starlings were using the broken exhaust vents to infest the home.
Damaged Exhaust Vents
As we inspected the home, we found three damaged exhaust vents.
Birds in Two of Them
There were two exhaust vents that had bird nesting debris in them! You can see the bird droppings in front of this one.
Remove the Debris
First, we carefully removed the nesting debris and disinfected the area. Afterward, we installed a one-way device over the two active vents and a DryerWallVent® over the other vent. The one-way will allow the birds to safely leave the area, but prevent them from getting back in. The best part of this device is that, if there are young birds inside, the adult female will still be able to feed them through the flap, until they leave.
Once They Leave
The DryerWallVent® is made out of heavy-duty galvanized steel and its large opening and angled damper provide maximum airflow efficiency for safe venting. Once all the birds have left, we will remove any nesting debris inside, disinfect the area, and then install another DryerWallVent® over the two active exhaust vents.
