We returned to this home in Hazlet, NJ to check on the mice activity in the crawl space. As we checked the rodent bait stations, we did find activity in a number of them in the crawl space and around the exterior of the home. So we replenished each station.

Since the mice were able to get into the home by squeezing through an old crawl space vent, with the owner's permission, we sealed it off to exclude the rodents. We also stuffed any and all openings around the home with chew-proof metal mesh and then sealed them with a waterproof, premium adhesive. 

A new customer in Holmdel, NJ decided that it was about time to insulate his attic, so he contacted our Attic Systems division. When we inspected the area we were shocked to discover that there no insulation at all in the attic! There was just some debris and old boxes. Without proper insulation, the rooms in the upper levels of a home will become colder a lot quicker, making winter a lot more uncomfortable. First, we removed any and all debris in the attic and then air sealed all the gaps and cracks in the attic. This will eliminate air flow between the living space and the attic, improving energy efficiency.

Afterward, we installed Tight Shell Can Light Covers over the recessed lights in the attic. These are made out of a fire resistant material and is specifically designed to stop unwanted air leakage through the recessed lights. Next, we added over 10 inches of TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation. TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation maximizes home comfort, has the highest Class-1 fire safety rating & is resistant to mold and pests. Lastly, we installed several SilverGlo™ borders. This will prevent the insulation from overflowing onto the attic floor and makes the attic look more organized.

Now that our Little Rascals Nuisance Wildlife Removal team has adequately removed all the squirrels from this attic in Holmdel, NJ, we're here to clean up and add new blown-in cellulose insulation. First, we carefully removed all the droppings and contaminated insulation in the attic. Afterward, we air-sealed all the gaps and cracks in the attic. In order to prevent any additional groundhogs, or any other nuisance wildlife, from harboring underneath the customers deck, we installed Dig Defense®. Dig Defense® is a below-ground fence system that is 15 inches deep, 4 feet across, and protects structures against invasive nuisance wildlife and feral animals.

The property manager of a condo association in Holmdel, NJ contacted Little Rascals for help removing bats from one of their properties. The bats were getting into the property through the ridge vents and the attic fans. The whole purpose of the ridge vents is allow hot air to escape from the home. The major issue is that the material that ridge vents are made of can warp from age, heat, and sun exposure, leaving the area vulnerable for bats and other nuisance wildlife. A short while after setting up our devices, we safely removed all of the bats. Now we need to prevent them from getting back into the property.

To do that we installed Ridge-Guard®, which secures and reinforces the ridge vent shingles to prevent the bats from entering the home through that area. As far at the attic fans, we installed an attic fan cover each one of them. The attic fan covers are made of heavy-duty 18 Gauge expanded Galvannealed steel mesh and will prevent all nuisance wildlife from gaining access into the home through these areas. Now the community is properly protected from all nuisance wildlife.
