Bird Control Services Photo Album: Twelve Exhaust Vents Infested with Birds in Princeton, NJ
This condo association in Princeton, NJ had a problem with birds clogging up their exhaust vents and causing a fire hazard.
Sticking Out
You can see some of the nesting debris sticking out of this exhaust vent. This wasn't the only one that was filled with debris.
Vents Were Clogged
In total, there were over 12 vents that were clogged with nesting debris from the nuisance birds.
Nesting Material Removed
First, we carefully removed all the nesting debris from every single one of the exhaust vents.
Cleaned Out & Disinfected
After that, we disinfected each one with a solution that targets bird mites. Bird mites are parasites that feed on the blood of birds. When birds leave their nests, the mites are left behind without a suitable host for their next blood meal. They are tiny and semi-transparent, so bird mites are extremely difficult to detect and are the main reason why extreme care is needed when removing a bird's nest.
A Defender
Lastly, we installed a Defender over each one of the exhaust vents.
Blocks Intrusions
The Defender is the perfect choice to help keep out nuisance birds. While allowing free-flowing air movement, its patented design effectively blocks intrusion by using a system of bars instead of a screen under the hood.
