A Complete Mess
The attic was just in bad shape. Not only was the insulation was no longer efficient and covered in debris, but there were a bunch of old boxes and other debris throughout the area
Get it All Out & Disinfect
So we removed all of the old fiberglass insulation and all of the debris and then properly disposed of them. Afterward, we disinfected the entire attic.
Over 10 Inches of TruSoft
After that was done, we placed several measuring markers throughout the attic (which ensures that the proper amount of R-value is added to the area) and then added over 10 inches of TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation.

Lastly, we installed a reflective attic stairway insulator over the attic stairs. This functions by forming air spaces with layers of bubbles and reflective foils. These spaces restrict air movement which reduces heat flow by convection. Additionally, the reflectivity and low emissivity of each reflective layer also reflects away up to 96% of radiant heat!
