Ant Hills Outside the Sliding Glass Door

As I was inspecting the interior and exterior of the home, I noticed there were several ant hills along the sliding glass in the living room. ​An ant hill is a mound of soil that you can normally find in your garden or backyard. It's primarily composed of dirt, tiny rocks, sand, clay, and various types of decomposed organic material. Anthills are a result of the queen and worker ants trying to establish a safe home for the entire colony.
