Here Are the Reasons
There were several sanitations issues throughout the kitchen that contributed to the massive fruit fly infestation. Several of the sinks and floor drains were full of food debris, there was rotten and old fruit left out, and several of the trash cans were full of garbage from the previous night.
Treatment for the Fruit Flies
After showing the sanitation issues to the manager and the owner and offering some simple cleaning tips, we applied a liquid application in all the floor drains and then scrubbed them out with our heavy-duty scrubbing brush. Next, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in all the drains.
Last Few Treatments for Fruit Flies
The organic material in the drains is the breeding ground for the fruit flies and once that is gone, so will the fruit flies. Lastly, we treated the high infestation areas with a fly bait to control the adult fruit flies and installed several fruit fly traps. The attractant in the traps draws the fruit flies close and the bait inside the traps exterminates them within moments of contact. In a short amount of time, the fruit flies will be gone for good.
