NPMA Issues its 2020 Bug Barometer

2020 Bug Barometer

Today, the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) released its bi-annual 2020 Bug Barometer®, which is a seasonal projection of the pest pressure Americans can expect to see in their respective regions. According to the group’s team of entomologists, ongoing warm, wet weather has allowed pest populations to spike early and will enable them to thrive throughout spring and summer across most of the U.S.

For those living in the Northeast, which is good ole New Jersey, we can expect a huge increase in tick activity. Also, the damp conditions throughout the summer will provide the perfect conditions for cockroaches,  carpenter ants, and termites!

What Can You Do to Protect Yourself?

We have several videos providing useful tips on how to protect yourself, your home, and your family. Additionally, inspect your home closely for any gaps in utility pipes, screens, and windows and properly apply insect repellant. If you do find a tick on yourself or a family member, here's a video on how to properly remove it.

Of course, if you do spot any pests or if you'd like a FREE inspection of your home, give us a call and we'll be happy to help you.
