Recently, we were sent out to a condo association in Spotswood, NJ to treat a massive cicada killer wasp infestation. Cicada killers are large insects, about 2 inches big. Also, they're solitary insects, meaning they nest alone, and nest in well-drained, light-textured soils in full sunlight. How did they get their clever name? From killing cicadas in order to reproduce their larvae! During the burrowing process, female cicada killer wasp can displace several pounds of dirt making a big mess and damaging the roots of plants. Additionally, they can dig in areas near walkways which can make some structures unstable. We injected a residual dusting product into every single cicada killer burrow as well as placed a granular bait in and around their burrows. These treatments will quickly exterminate the cicada killer waspsCicada Killer Wasps Terrorizing Residents in Spotswood, NJ
