Bird Control Services Photo Album: Exhaust Vents Around Condo Infested with Starlings in Lawrenceville, NJ
A number of the exhaust vents around this condo association in Lawrenceville, NJ was infested with starlings.
Starlings Inside the Exhaust Vents
As we inspected the exterior of the units we discovered that the starlings were getting into the property by flying right into several old exhaust vents that were either left wide open...
Several Damaged Vents
...or were badly damaged. A short while after setting up our retrieval devices we were able to safely remove all of the starlings from the property. All that's left was do make sure that they don't get back in!
First Target the Bird Mites
To accomplish that, first we disinfected each exhaust vent with a solution that eliminates bird mites. Bird mites are parasites that feed on the blood of birds. When birds leave their nests, the mites are left behind without a suitable host for their next blood meal and make their way into a home. What's worse is that are tiny and semi-transparent, which means that they are extremely difficult to detect!
Instal a DryerWallVent®
After disinfecting the exhaust vents we installed a DryerWallVent® over each one.
What's a DryerWallVent®?
The DryerWallVent® is made out of heavy-duty galvanized steel and its large opening and angled damper provide maximum airflow efficiency for safe venting.
Keeps the Starlings Out!
It's sturdy integrated magnets keep the damper closed when not in use which prevents birds as well as all nuisance wildlife from getting back in the area!
