Pests We Treat - Pavement ants controlled and removed in Fair Haven, NJ

While performing a rodent control service around one of our commercial accounts, a shopping center in Fair Haven, NJ, I happened to come across an ant colony that had formed nearby one of our rodent bait stations. Since this was a small colony, I decided that an ant gel bait would be the most effective way to eliminate this colony.

As shown in this short video, it did not take long for the ants to find the gel bait that I applied around the bait station. Ants are constantly on the lookout for food and they won’t pass up a free meal that’s placed right in front of them!

This bait will not just kill the foraging workers that stumbled upon it. Ants are social creatures that live in colonies with a queen-worker caste system. Every ant has a particular function that helps the colony thrive. These interdependent ants share food, and those foraging ants that venture out into the world bring food back to share with other members of the colony. We use this instinctive behavior against them. The workers unknowingly bring the lethal bait back to the nest where it is passed among the colony members, and soon, the queen and the rest of the colony is permanently eliminated.
